Swarna Bindu Prashana

  1. Swarna means “Gold” and Prashana refers to “consuming”. Swarna Bindu Prashana refers to the act of consuming digestible gold in prescribed form and dose.
  2. It is an ancient Ayurvedic method of immunization in children which also improves their memory, intellect, digestion, metabolism, physical strength, fertility, and life span.
  3. Gold particles which are converted into non-toxic form are administered along with honey, ghee and herbal brain tonics like Brahmi, Shankapushpi etc.
  4. Scientifically, it is proven that Swarna Bhasma possesses immunomodulatory, antioxidant, antidepressant, anti-cancerous, anti-bacterial and anti-rheumatoid properties. It also acts as a nerve stimulant.
  5. This wonderful medicine is being administered at Shri Rama Ayur Clinic to children from birth to 16 years of age on Pushya Nakshathra day of every month as per Ayurvedic text.

List of few ailments treated in our clinic

Gastritis:

Inflammation of the stomach lining which leads to symptoms like stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. Person may also have symptoms of repeated sour bleaching and back pain due to this.

Back Pain:

It can result due to some common causes like prolonged sitting, lifting too heavy weight, stress, and excessive workouts. Sometimes it can be due to major ailments like Disc Prolapse, Spondylosis, Urinary stones etc.

Diabetes Mellitus:

Increased blood sugar levels due to inadequate secretion of insulin from the pancreas or insulin resistance in the tissue cells is called Diabetes mellitus. Though the symptoms are mild in the beginning, it can lead to major complications in kidneys, nerves, eyes, brain (stroke), heart (heart attack) etc. if untreated.

Dandruff and Hair Fall:

Itchy scalp and thin white flakes arising from scalp skin while combing are the symptoms of Dandruff. It can be associated with excessive hair fall. This can occur due to fungal infection, stress, or environmental factors.

Menstrual Disorders:

There are many types of menstrual disorders, mainly -

a)Amenorrhea: Absence of menstrual bleeding.

b)Dysmenorrhea: Pain during menstrual period.

c)Dysfunctional Uterine bleeding: Irregular uterine bleeding without any illness.

Migraine:

Headache of varying intensity occurs periodically in one side of the head or on both the sides. Sometimes it is accompanied with nausea, vomiting and mood changes.

Viral Fevers:

Fever arising due to infection by various viruses. It can be Common cold, Chikungunya, Dengue, Covid-19 etc. Symptoms include fever, headache, joint pain, throat pain, cough, body aches etc. depending upon the nature of the virus and the immunity of the patient’s body.

Spondylosis:

Degenerative change in the spine is described as spondylosis. Neck pain or low back pain may occur. Degenerated disc may produce radiating (pulling) pain in arms and legs as well.

Perimenopausal Syndrome:

Women at the end of their reproductive age, suffer from irregular menstrual cycles, prolonged bleeding per vagina, hot flashes, sleep problems etc. This is called ‘Perimenopausal Syndrome’.

Psoriasis:

Psoriasis is a skin disease where there will be red itchy patches with silvery flakes over the skin. It can affect the whole body or some particular part of the body like scalp, palm & feet, nails, trunk, limbs etc.

Urinary Tract Infections:

Infection in any part of Urinary system, Urethra, Bladder or Kidney is called UTI. Symptoms like Pain in lower abdomen, frequent urge for micturition, pain during urination, pus or blood in urine may be present.

Anaemia:

It is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the Hemoglobin concentration in the blood is lower than normal. It can occur with fatigue, pale skin, shortness of breath or dizziness.

Hypothyroidism:

It is a condition in which Thyroid gland fails to produce enough of Thyroid Hormones. Patient may experience fatigue, weight gain, dry skin, loss of appetite. It is important to treat the condition, as thyroid hormone plays an important role in heart health, body temperature control, metabolism, reproductive system and many other functions.

Arthritis:

Inflammation of the joint resulting in pain and/or swelling around joint is called Arthritis. It can arise due to degeneration of the joints (due to age) or some viral infection or immunological conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Obesity:

Obesity is a condition where there will be excessive accumulation of fat in the body leading to impaired health. Overweight and obesity increase the risk of Heart problems, Diabetes, Stroke (Paralysis) and Joint degenerations.

PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) :

It is a hormonal disorder in women characterized by multiple small cysts in the ovaries. Symptoms include menstrual irregularity, growth of facial hair, acne (pimple) and obesity. It is one of the eminent causes for the female infertility as the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries are affected.

Sinusitis:

Inflammation inside the bony cavities (Sinuses) around the nose due to allergy or infections is called Sinusitis. It occurs with headache, heaviness of face and head region and sometimes dizziness. It can also result in nasal blockage and bad smell of breath.

Allergy:

It is a condition where immune system reacts abnormally and adversely to seemingly harmless foreign substances called allergen. Allergen may be in the form of certain food, pollen, dust, insect sting or some medicine. Allergy may manifest in skin as Atopic dermatitis or Eczema. In respiratory tract, it manifests as Allergic cold and Asthma.

Asthma:

It is defined as hyperresponsiveness of internal airways leading to extra mucus secretion and narrowing of airways. Patient will have breathing difficulty, cough and wheezing. It is usually triggered by some irritant or allergen, viruses, exercise, and emotional stress.

Hypertension or High blood pressure:

It is a condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is persistently high enough to cause health problems. Blood pressure above 140/90 mm of Hg is considered as Hypertension. It can result in heart diseases, stroke, and kidney problems.

Respiratory Tract infection:

It includes Lower Respiratory Tract Infections like Bronchitis and Upper Respiratory Tract Infections like Common cold, Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis and Laryngitis. Lower respiratory tract infections may occur with cough, fever, fatigue and shortness of breath.
